Israel graduated from the University of Hong Kong, majoring in English Studies (focused on English Literature and Creative Writing). Before joining i-Learner he spent four years teaching English in a tertiary institute in Hong Kong, an experience that sharpened his teaching and communication skills with students of different age groups. Israel has very diverse interests; apart from English Studies, he has also studied Fine Art, African Studies and European Studies. This educational background provides the backdrop for his classrooms, where his teaching broadens students’ horizons and reaches beyond the realm of only language learning.

We are hard-wired to pursue things that fascinate us. When we actually see the beauty of what we are learning (say, English), the process of learning, instead of an unbearable task that wears us down, becomes a sheer enjoyment.
