Aimee Ho graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Master of Arts degree in Applied English Linguistics. During her postgraduate years, her research focused on Second Language Acquisition, Curriculum Design, Sociolinguistics, and Psycholinguistics. These study streams enabled her to have a deep understanding of language education, and equipped her with the capabilities of guiding students in language learning. She also practised English teaching in a private language school during the time when she was in the university, teaching students Cambridge English there.
I believe that it is of significance to discover students’ language talent by using appropriate methods which are in accordance of their aptitude. When I was in the university, I have done research on students’ aptitude in language learning. It was this research that made me realize the individual differences in language learning aptitude, and inspired me to explore more in teaching methods so as to motivate students and provide them with a smoother language learning pathway.
