After some preparatory vocabulary work with a thesaurus, this is\u00a0the piece of descriptive writing that student Athena Cheung wrote. She chose to write about her holiday.<\/p>\n<p>I was impressed at the similes used and the wide range of adjectives. I had never thought of comparing my first time flying a kite with a baby bird&#8217;s first seconds of life! A very good image for a difficult first flight!
