With a background from the University of Cambridge, I believe that education should empower
students to find confidence in their own ideas and feel invested in their learning. My teaching style is warm, ambitious, and discussion-based, focusing on exploring concepts deeply, challenging assumptions, and building an environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. I love helping students articulate opinions they genuinely care about and express them with clarity and conviction. Above all, I aim to create a space where students grow not only in understanding, but in their sense that their voice and perspective truly matter.
Mia studied Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, where she focused on ethics, political philosophy, and global catastrophic risk, particularly the moral challenges posed by AI and long-term governance. She is fascinated by how philosophy can guide real-world decisions and help us think clearly about our responsibilities to each other and to future generations. Mia currently works as a UCAS advisor and SEN support assistant, roles that allow her to support students every day in their learning, confidence, and future aspirations. Beyond teaching, Mia loves exploring history, art, and philosophy, and finding new ways that ideas shape how we live and what we can achieve.
