I believe that empathy is essential to education. Understanding students’ psyches allows us to identify the challenges they face and address them effectively. Studying in Hong Kong can be challenging, especially when students feel isolated. I aim to create a sanctuary where students can safely express themselves, develop confidence, and explore their passions.

Barry Chan first obtained degrees in English Linguistics before turning his focus to writing screenplays and making films. Intrigued by storytelling and human emotions, he developed a love for cinema at a young age. Barry believes that watching films can not only enhance language proficiency by highlighting the musicality in dialogue but also, more importantly, help us understand what it means to be human. He encourages students to generate story ideas and write for fun, fostering creativity and self-expression.
