I believe students thrive most when their teacher is genuinely passionate about the subject they are teaching, and can share that enthusiasm. My aim is for students to leave my classes with stronger critical thinking skills and a broader perspective—one that helps them see the world around them in a more thoughtful way.

Alex is in his second year of undergraduate philosophy at Cambridge, with a particular interest in debates on metaphysics and the philosophy of science, including questions about identity, the laws of nature and causality. He has experience in classical debating at both university and school level, and has written opinion columns for the Cambridge University newspaper. In his spare time, he is also president of his college politics society, where he has interviewed senior UK political figures and hosted talks and discussion events.
