I believe in helping students see how their knowledge and skills can be applied outside of the classroom, and how they can use this to help make a positive difference in the world. Supporting students to develop curiosity and criticality through science, for example, can improve their approach to life outside the classroom and support their independence and resilience.

Georgie Porter has experience teaching in the UK and in Singapore, teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE as well as Environmental Systems and Societies at IB. She has been a school leader with responsibility for global citizenship and also a school governor in the UK. Georgie enjoys keeping up to date with scientific findings through podcasts, literature and documentaries, and she also enjoys reading historical fiction.
