Grammar is a subject many people would dread learning about, despite it being the building blocks of languages. This is also the case for many of my AGR students, especially a L3 class on Friday.
We began to look at different kinds of pronouns in L3 and I’ve noticed some of my students struggling to differentiate subject and object pronouns. I decided to let them make a poster on the different kinds of pronouns the next class to help consolidate the concept.
This is a poster one of my students made. I encouraged them to add in their own pictures to help them remember. While we were making posters, we also used the pronouns to make different sentences. The more exaggerated the example is, the easier it is for students to remember. At the end of that class, most of my students could confidently complete exercises on subject and object pronouns with high accuracy and precision.
