There are many elements of English that can be incredibly difficult to understand, especially for younger learners. One such topic is personification – the focus of my recent Level 3 Critical Reading and Writing Class. We read some texts with examples and, not only did my students easily identify and categorise every instance of the technique, when it came to writing their own personification passages they came up with really creative, well-crafted and interesting pieces.   Here are two examples from that class: 20161025120226610_000220161025120226610_0001
