Andrea Tam
I hope for students to leave each lesson with new insight and more confidence than they came in with. Rather than simply handing over answers, I aim to create a nurturing environment for genuine discovery, guiding students just beyond what they can already do on their own and gradually stepping back as they find their feet. With the right support at the right moment, students may surprise themselves with what they can achieve.
Andrea Tam is passionate about psychology and how people think, grow, and learn. She finds few things more rewarding than helping students experience that discovery for themselves. Specialising in developmental and educational psychology, Andrea draws on this expertise to provide individualised, idiographic support to every learner. She has extensive experience working with young people across diverse settings, including volunteering with non-profits and tutoring children of various ages and abilities. Through these roles, Andrea has mastered the art of adapting teaching approaches to the individual, building student confidence, and making education feel rewarding rather than intimidating. She hopes to bring this same warmth and curiosity into every lesson.
