Toby Naldrett

I believe teaching should nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence. In my lessons, I aim to make learning enjoyable while also challenging students to think critically, discuss respectfully and develop their ideas with clarity. I want teaching to be more than learning facts: I aim to instil a genuine passion for knowing. If students feel motivated to learn, they will both enjoy the subject and remember it better.

Toby Naldrett is a passionate student of philosophy and political theory, and he enjoys sharing this enthusiasm with others. Recently, he has taken modules in ethics, theory of politics and philosophy of religion, and he hopes to draw these together in his lessons. He wants to inspire his students to ask “big questions” and explore ideas with confidence. He also has experience working with children as a scout leader and a football referee, roles that have helped him understand how to engage young people in creative, energetic ways.
